Wynn's own amenities are really nice: Three years ago, they had Molton Brown design a custom Wynn set of products, scented with cocoa and tonka bean,so you smell vaguely like vanilla. These rooms are definitely designed to solve every traveler frustration. Any of that find its way into your suitcase?Ĭall me a total geek, but the bedside mobile phone charging outlets are the first thing I'd steal in a lawless world. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. For those of us who like to work in bed, there are huge, over-stuffed Euro shams, which are nice when you're trying to get comfortably propped up. So you'll find sky-high beds with linens that are 507-thread count (putting them just above the highest-ever thread counts). They got us?Ī couple of years ago, Steve Wynn actually procured sheets from the top hotels in the world and made sure that his thread counts were higher. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. The rooms are all quite large-generally starting at around 650 square feet. The floor-to-ceiling windows had a great view toward the Strip and west toward the mountains, an features include automated lights, drapes and sheers, with control panels right by the bed so you don't have to fumble around and try to figure out how to turn things on. There are pops of color only in the art (you'll find good reproductions of modern masters) and in flowers. The decor is all light woods, neutral and camel-colored carpets and lots of bright white touches where they're practical (like the bed), and this same decorating philosophy is true in most other rooms at Wynn. I stayed in a Wynn Deluxe King (there are a lot of room categories between Wynn and Encore), which is essentially the standard room at Wynn. There's no distinct demographic, but they're s more sophisticated and international crowd than in most other resorts on the Strip. They're here for the amazing retail (there are two Chanel stores), the restaurants, and the nightlife. But in general, guests are fashion- and status-conscious. It changes depending on who's having a business off-site or a convention at Wynn and Encore. It manages to pull this off and feel magical-not cheesy. You feel you've walked in off the Strip into an alternate universe. There's a reason this is one of the city's most Instagrammed spots. You walk across floral mosaic tiles into a naturally lit lobby full of moving floral sculptures-like a flowery carousel surrounded by trees and giant floral bouquets hanging from the ceiling. When you walk into Wynn's main entrance, it's a totally otherworldly floral fantasy. This Strip favorite’s gold-gilded peacock statues, red-trimmed pool cabanas, and enough fountains to rival the Romans, proves that Vegas Chic is not an oxymoron.
